About Us

Butterfly Gardens is an urban garden located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and operated by Kris Slater & Chris Granlund.

We organically grow vegetables during the Southeastern Wisconsin growing season.  We  sell our fresh vegetables at the Wauwatosa Farmers Market on Saturday mornings during the summer.

We practice sustainable growing methods by taking great care to amend our soil through composting and growing green manures.   We care about the earth and the harmful effects large agribusiness growing methods has on it as well as on the food  they produce.  There are no chemical herbicides or pesticides used in our growing process.
